Shockparade exist somewhere between the hardest edge of Faithless, Underworld, Leftfield and the uplifting beauty of Sigur Ros played by Doves in the "Madchester" era. There are two Shockparades; the studio duo consisting of Myke Grimes (aka Mofo) and Patrick King and the full live act complete with live drums, synths and atmospheric guitars. Mofo and Padd fuse together their root influences of 90's indie with their love of dance music, along with strong interests in local to world politics and a desire to create euphoric 'hands in the air' anthems that keep you buzzing for days.

"One of the most important things for us is seeing people digging our tunes live and losing themselves in the music", explains Mofo. "The whole album [debut - After the Storm Comes the Sun] is like a roller coaster, carefully crafted into an intense journey, but with the room to breathe, which is important. Dynamics are a big thing for us. It's easy to be full on all the time, sometimes you just need to hold back; just a little. So when the moment comes it really goes off, especially live." It is live where Shockparade have really earnt their stripes. Myke and Padd have gigged furiously over the past 6 years, perfecting their stage craft and putting together an experience full of intense energy and spectacular presence. The place to listen to Shockparade is live with your mates in a massive field with a huge PA to get that sub bass pumping, probably off your mash too!
