Trailer Biog
Trailer
first came to life in Autumn 2004.
The band members are
Mofo, 22 (Guitar/Vocals/Programming/Synths
and drums),
Demo, 21 (Bass
Guitar/Room Shaker).
"If you're going to do something you've got to do it
big", quotes front man Mofo in every interview Trailer
do. It has become somewhat of a motto for the band.
Trailer are a band who never settle for second best,
which has been the key to their coming together and
growth as a band. They play their own brand of music
labelled ‘Atmospheric Dance Rock Fusion’ and are
confident that you won’t have heard anything quite like
it before.
Inspired by every musical genre going, every book
they've read, films they've seen,
politics and situations they've been in, all get
thrown into the songs and what comes out is some of the
most intense music you will ever hear.

Trailer
all the way from Coventry, which seems to be going
through a bit of a purple (or should that be sky
blue...that's the only thing I know about football by
the way) patch now in terms of music. Blending the
thumping beats of Underworld with the anthemic kind of
tracks that Kasabian bang out together with a bit of
Liam swagger, Trailer seem to have a whole album's worth
of tracks that deserve your ears (ears meet Trailer,
Trailer meet ears...now go get a room). 'Set the Country
on Fire' in particular has the kind of energy and
positivity that I've not really heard since the glory
days of Asian Dub Foundation. Ace. They gave out free
CD's at the end too...which always gets my vote.

When Ben
Arthur ruefully sings, "The older I get, the more I
realise/The best I can hope for is compromise," the
singer-songwriter is only half-serious. After all, the
young veteran hasn't toiled at his craft for more than a
decade to give in without a fight. That line, from "Mary
Ann"-one of the songs on his last album, Edible
Darling-reflects the litany of near-misses he
experienced after being heavily courted by several major
record labels over the years.
Ben
Arthur has recently finished working on his new album -
tentatively titled 'Bodega', with song titles such as
'Last Goodbye', 'Tattoo' and 'I Told You I Love You (Now
Will You Leave?)'. Ben plans to gig in the near future
and will also return to the UK to tour around October
2006, so watch this space for further news...

Waiting for words is a band that clearly distinguish
themselves from the electro-clash/synthpop scene by
their rock background and live feeling, which seduces
fans of both electronic and rock music.
‘A Walk Through the Night’, their fourth album, was
released in April 2004 and was nominated at the French
Alternative Music Awards as ‘Best Unsigned Album’. It
was also #1 on the French Alternative charts and was
elected as one of the ‘Best Indie Albums of the Year’ by
one of the major French rock web radio stations, Rock
One.

Fiori

Fiori are four West Mdlands lads with a love of heavy
rock‘n’roll, make up and really cool shoes. Fronted by
the double headed vocal beast of towering peroxide
Arthur Gatfield and flame haired glamour boy Dave Ryder,
Fiori make rock music for people to dance to. The four
22 year olds spent 2006 putting on shows around the
country picking up plaudits, groupies, ideas and
attitude. The start of 2007 will see them mostly in the
studio, ready for a push to attract industry attention.
Musical influences include Guns N’Roses, Marilyn Manson,
MC5 and Elvis while looking like the New York Dolls in
Hollywood. But, behind all the eyeliner, hairspray,
snake hip posturing and back stage kissing Fiori know
what matters; it’s all about the music.

King Hermit

The King Hermit ingredients:
Add some solid catchy melodies
A Pinch of dirty riffs
A Teaspoon of witty Lyrics
One quarter measure of stomping grooves
Stick some Lennon esq vocals on it
Round it off with some staccato beats
What we're left with is some weird fabrication of
Rockabilly and something fresh.
Gigs aren't an afterthought...
We don't play a gig, we put on a show, albeit on that
starts of fast and ends up bloody fast but a show none
the less. Don't you hate it when your watching a band
and they say "we're gonna slow this down now"? yeah so
do we! so our aim is to put relentless energy and
enthusiasms into our performance so much so that our
drummer looses a stone in sweat after every gig (who
needs slim fast ey?)
Bands need to set goal's...
Our goals are simple, be the best we can be, is there
any other ethos a band needs to strive for? Sure we want
the by products of success, what band doesn't? but it
doesn't mean we are going to compensate our enjoyment
for the sake of "making it"
Final thoughts aren't just for Jerry Springer...
Anything is possible, cliche it maybe but any great
person in history will tell you that if you don't
believe in yourself then no one else will
